Investing client's money
We believe in scientific investing not instinctive speculating.
We take a modern approach to portfolio management based on the Nobel Prize winning work of financial economists. Our methodology, referred to as ‘asset class investing’, a tried and tested scientific approach which is common within the institutional market but is rarely offered to private clients.
Unlike traditional stockbrokers who attempt to add value by ‘speculating’ on the selection and trading of stocks, ‘asset class investing’ relies upon the methodical allocation of the portfolio to various asset classes to deliver returns. The result of the way we work is that, instead of constantly worrying about the ups and downs of the stock market, our clients can relax, confident knowing that their investment strategy is totally aligned to the achievement of their goals.
The process we follow is broken down into 3 stages
Stage 1 – Asset Allocation
Asset allocation is the process of ensuring that the portfolio has sufficient low risk (cash and bond) investments to provide the required liquidity in the short-term, whilst maximising long-term financial security through equity investment. The exact allocation is tailored according to your attitude to risk.
Stage 2 – Structure
In looking at the portfolio structure we aim to maximise the amount that ends up in your hands and minimise the amount that ends up in the Government’s hands by way of taxation. Our objective is to utilise any appropriate mechanism to reduce the impact of taxation.
Stage 3 – Investment Funds
Once the asset allocation and structure have been optimised, the final task is to allocate management of each asset class to an appropriate investment manager. Although important, this stage will have the least impact on your long-term financial security.
